Ritwik is a talented tabla player, who has trained under the tutelage of his father Shri Pranab Mukherjee. His instructions began at an early age and he received his first tabla lesson when he was nine years old. He is a student of the Banaras Gharana and has always been interested in performing with fusion bands, accompanying Ghazal singers and pure Hindustani classical musicians.
