Things to do this week!

In a city like Mumbai, you can never really claim to be bored (unless you’re lazy) as there is something interesting happening every day. All you need to do is wrap up your daily tasks quickly and head towards the nearest location to enjoy a fun stand up comedy show or some live music. If you aren’t aware of what’s happening where, fret not, for we’re here to bring you up to speed with the fun events happening this week. For theater lovers:

Two fun plays are scheduled to be screened at Prithvi this week. Stay tuned for ‘Two Adorable Losers’ which will be screened on the 7th of July at 9 pm. The play is about two men trying to help each other out, but the only problem is that, both suffer from a deep, debilitating inferiority complex. If you’ve always been a fan of Shakespeare’s dramatic compositions, here’s a play you’ll want to attend. Catch ‘Nothing Like Lear’ a play written and directed by Rajat Kapoor and starring Atul Kumar and Vinay Pathak on the 10th & 12th of July at 9 pm & at 6 and 9 pm respectively. For music lovers:

Solo Indien, a Congolese artist and ‘Bombay Bassment’ a band that offers a unique blend of Hip-Hop, Rap, Reggae, Funk & Drum ‘n Bass music will be performing at Blue Frog on the 9th of July, 10 pm onwards. Internationally acclaimed artist Lorenzo Quinn, will be holding a solo exhibition at Gallery Odyssey. Titled ‘In the Hands of Lorenzo Quinn,’ this exhibition highlights his familiar works as well as his more experimental projects, giving us a peek into his artistic progression and message.
