Words Tell Stories – 2nd Anniversary Celebrations at QTube Café

January 27th, 2017

Words Tell Stories is an organization working towards promoting poets and poetry. They organize monthly open mics, discussions and several other activities that offer poets, both novices and seasoned word-weavers, an opportunity to share their work. Having completed two years, as part of their second anniversary celebrations, WTS organized an evening of performance poetry at the Café. Trans poet and activist Alok Vaid-Menon and New York based writer and activist Grace Dunham were invited to read out their poems and discuss issues like trans rights, genderqueer issues as well as the importance of acceptance, love and friendship in today’s fractioned world. Here are some photographs from the evening. To know more about WTS, visit their website: http://wordstellstories.com/
